Taxis to Tirthan, a 2-hour ride, cost around ₹2000. Longer drives are available from Chandigarh (7 hrs) and Dharamshala (6 hrs). 

Car or Taxi:

Reach Tirthan Valley via Manali Highway (NH21): 480km (10–12 hrs) from Delhi, 265km (7 hrs) from Chandigarh. Taxi: ₹12,000–₹18,000 from Delhi, ₹6,000–₹9,000 from Chandigarh.

The scenic route via Shimla (525km, 13 ½ hrs) offers Jalori Pass views, and taxis: ₹6,000–₹8,000. Kangra Valley route via NH154 (8 ½ hrs from Pathankot, 6 hrs from Dharamshala, 4 hrs from Joginder Nagar). 

Bus:

Take the overnight Himachal Tourism Volvo bus to Manali for ₹1500 (13 hours from Delhi). Safe and reliable. Get off at Aut, then taxi to Tirthan. Pre-arrange a pickup with your homestay for convenience.

Nearest railheads to Tirthan: Chandigarh, Shimla (‘toy train’ from Kalka), and Pathankot (or Joginder Nagar via narrow gauge from Pathankot). Take a train to these destinations and proceed by taxi for the final leg.
